I think there are two answers to my problem. One will examine the OS so it can reboot and the second should copy the files. I’m happy that it takes me a long time to store files on my computer.
I’ve been trying to use Ubuntu’s exact advanced options to find an older kernel, and as far as I can tell it doesn’t really work as it should. I think recovery is specific o file should be a particularly simple option, which I considered for recovering a real CD
I think the reason I’m stuck with these means is because it’s a RAID. I’m a bit worried, but also that if I get this approach wrong, I might screw up my RAID, making the problem worse.
